The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) has commence the construction of hostel in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso. Prior to this time, the institution was solely none residential. This makes the project the first of its kind in the history of the University.
Construction of the students hostel which is going to contain N4, 000 students at completion started few weeks ago according to reports made known to Inside LAUTECH Media
A construction worker who prefer to remain anonymous explained to Inside LAUTECH Media that the hostel is going to be of four types ranging from type 1-4.
This development was confirmed by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Azeem Ige when we got in touch with him via phone call.
This TETFUND project is in line with the declaration earlier made by the University ‘s Vice Chancellor, Professor Olufisayo Ologunde that plans are in place to develop residential areas within the University Campus
The 4,000 capacity students hostel is sited south of the software Institute which house the new Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics.
