Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU). UTME and Direct Entry candidates are welcome to apply.

About Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU).

 JABU was established in 2004 and approved on 8th February 2006 by the Federal Executive Council, Joseph Ayo Babalola University received its licence of operations on 6th March 2006 and was opened to students for the 2006/2007 academic session on 25th October 2006.

Established in 2004 in obedience to divine instructions by the Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide and under the visionary leadership of its then President, Pastor (Dr.) E. H. L Olusheye. The current President of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor A O Akinosun as the Chairman of our Board of Trustees provides overall direction, with invigorated and renewed spiritual and financial commitments to the University.

The first Chancellor of the university was His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Oladele Olashore (CON). Until his demise in June 2012, he laboured sedulously in various ways to positively advance the course of the university.

Jabu Admission Form Requirements

JABU Post UTME

Prospective students wishing to apply for undergraduate admission into one of our colleges must possess any one of GCE, O Level, SSCE (WAEC), NECO, NABTEB or its equivalence with minimum credit passes in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics at one or two sittings. Interested candidates who have already applied to JAMB for admission and wish to change their first choice of university to Joseph Ayo Babalola University are required to:

  1. Apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
  2. Fill out our online application form or obtain a Joseph Ayo Babalola University application form.
  3. Participate in the screening exercise.

Note: Prospective students still awaiting their results can also apply provided their results will be available by September of the intended year of study.

JABU Direct Entry Candidates.

  1. 5 relevant credit passes at WASC (SSCE), NECO or equivalent subjects listed under each programme, two of which must be at ‘A’ Level.
  2. OND with upper Credit or NCE at Credit level in any institution recognized by the University.
  3. Joseph Ayo Babalola University Diploma.
  4. Diploma from any other recognized Universities.

1 .COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES

  1. A. B. Agric. With option in:
    • Agricultural Economics and Extension Services
    • Animal Science and Production
    • Crop Science and Production
    • Soil Science and Management
  2. B. B.Sc. Food Science and Technology

College Admission Requirements:

  • Five ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSCE, NECO or equivalent to include English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, and Economics. A pass in Physics is acceptable.

2. COLLEGE OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES

  1. B. Arc. Architecture
  2. B.Sc. Estate Management

College Admission Requirements:

  • For Architecture, Estate Management, Building and Quantity Surveying: 5 credit passes at SSCE, NECO or equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one of the following: Geography, Fine Art, Economics, Technical Drawing, Building Construction, Biology and Agric Science.
  • For Urban and Regional Planning, and Geography: 5 Credit passes at SSCE, NECO or equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any other two subjects.

3. COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES

  1. B.A English
  2. B.A History and International Studies
  3. B.A Philosophy and Religious Studies

College Admission Requirements:

  • Five ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSCE, NECO or equivalent in English Language and four other Arts and Social Science subjects.
  • For B.A. English, the other four subjects must include literature in English.
  • For B.A. History and International Studies, the four subjects must include Government or History.

4. COLLEGE OF NATURAL SCIENCES

  1. B.Sc. Biochemistry
  2. B.Sc. Computer Science
  3. B.Sc. Microbiology
  4. B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry
  5. B.Sc. Physics Electronics

College Admission Requirements:

  • For B. Sc. Biochemistry, five ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSCE or equivalent, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
  • For B.Sc. Microbiology, Agricultural Science is acceptable in lieu of Biology.
  • For B.Sc. Computer Science: five ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry, Biology, Economics, and Geography.
  • For B.Sc. Physics Electronics, as in Computer Science.

5. COLLEGE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

  1. B.Sc. Economics
  2. B.Sc. International Relations
  3. B.Sc. Mass Communication
  4. B.Sc. Political Science

College Admission Requirements:

  • For B.Sc. Economics: candidates must possess 5 ‘O’ Level credit in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects.
  • For B.Sc. Political Science: 5 ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Government/History, and any other 3 subjects at least, a pass in Mathematics is required.
  • For B.Sc. Mass Communication, the 5 ‘O’ Level credit passes must include English Language and Literature in English. At least, a pass in Mathematics is required.

6. COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

  1. B.Sc. Accounting
  2. B.Sc. Business Administration
  3. B.Sc. Entrepreneurship
  4. B.Sc. Industrial Relation and Human Resources Management
  5. B.Sc. Insurance

College Admission Requirements:

  • For B.Sc. Business Administration, insurance, Entrepreneurship and Accounting candidates must possess 5 ‘O’ Level credit in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects.
  • For B.Sc. Industrial Relation and Human Resources Management, 5 ‘O’ Level credit passes must include Mathematics and English Language.
